We Plan For Success

Working with A&A Paving is easy because we communicate with you at every step of your project. Our goal is to increase your return on your pavement investment by reviewing value engineering options for the best possible solution for your concrete project.

We Work Efficiently

Much of the time, our customers can stay open for business while we work. Depending upon the project type, we can usually work around your customers, employees, and deliveries by having flaggers, directional signs/barricades, and by posting detailed notices prior to our work. If this is not an option, let’s discuss performing the work in phases to make your life easier!

Pro Tip:  Work with concrete experts who understand the unique features of your business. An experienced contractor knows the weather conditions, drainage issues, and other variables that can impact your pavement and help you select the right thickness and materials to extend the life of your concrete pavement.

Concrete Paving FAQs

It’s our goal to make sure you fully understand our products and processes prior to starting your concrete project.

Concrete is a mixture of portland cement, water, coarse and fine aggregates, and chemical additives.
In general, the optimum air temperature to pour concrete should be between 50° F and 90° F. You can safely place concrete outside of those limits with a few extra precautions.
Depending on the weather and other environmental conditions the curing time of concrete can vary. Generally, after 7 days, it is considered to be cured. The full strength can take about a month.
Concrete is rigid, so it is likely to crack during freeze/thaw conditions. This is perfectly normal and small cracks won’t compromise the concrete’s strength.
Beyond aesthetics, jointing has many purposes including improving long-term durability. Some of the best concrete projects have been achieved with proper jointing patterns, completed at the correct time of placement with proper tools and without secondary reinforcement.
Each project has variable costs that are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Some of the factors affecting price include pavement thickness, nature of preparation (if removal of the existing pavement is needed), the cost of materials, how elaborate the installation is, and the size of the project.
The lifespan of concrete pavement is 20-40 years on average.
Concrete is fairly durable on its own, however, there are some things you can do to ensure that it stays in good shape. Foregoing the application of deicing chemicals during the winter and cleaning your concrete regularly throughout the year are two of the best concrete maintenance practices.
